BS4872 Tungsten Inert Gas(TIG) Welder Approval

This course has been designed to meet the practical skills approved by the British Standards Institute and is ideal for anyone who has already achieved the relevant practical skills or appropriate experience to undertake TIG welding tasks competently and safely to the BS 4872 standard.

The length of course would be adapted to cover the clients individual needs, ie 1 or 2 Days duration and weld test types ie plate or pipe, tuition is also available should anyone feel they require it*.

Test types

• Flat (PA) or Horizontal (PC) or Vertical (PF) learner specified in mild steel in material thickness of 6mm to 12mm

Outline of syllabus

• Tutored welding practice*, to include:
• Weld preparation
• Weld configuration
• Completion of weld test samples
