City & Guilds 2391 - 10 Inspection and Testing

This short course is aimed at persons experienced in inspection and testing of electrical installations, who require certification to demonstrate technical knowledge and practical ability for entry into a Part P and registered competent person’s scheme.

City and Guilds Certification is achieved on successful completion of both the practical assessment and written examination.

The course is offered as follows:

A 4 or 5 day course for a student possessing knowledge of the wiring regulations and with minimal knowledge of inspection and testing, it is recommended City and Guilds 2392-10 or equivalent is achieved prior to course commencement.

To further support this course, we offer a 1 day practical workshop available to candidates who have completed the course and require further ‘hands on’ practical experience prior to their practical examination. We suggest that this is completed the day before their practical assessment.

We strongly recommend City and Guilds 2382 17th edition  has been achieved prior to sitting this course, although this is NOT an entry requirement.

The examination is a 2.5 hour closed book paper. The examination dates and times are set by City and Guilds and are not flexible. This means that the examination will only be available on the date and time set by City and Guilds.

The practical assessment takes approximately 4 hours, this can, if available, be taken on the day following the written examination or at a later date at a time which is mutually convenient to both student and centre.

If you wish to take the practical assessment the same week you are strongly advised to inform us as soon as possible when booking the course.

The course costs include examination entry fees, a buffet lunch and refreshments throughout the day.
