Are you looking to gain knowledge of how electrical installations in homes can affect the building construction as well as how to comply with relevant regulations, do you fit kitchen’s, conservatory’s, bathroom’s, solar panels, If so our 5 day combination course maybe for you, it consists of the following minimum requirements for acceptance on to a competent persons scheme :-
1 Day Essential Electrical Safety Theory, designed for non electrically competent persons (Monday)
City & Guilds 2382-12 (17th Edition wiring regulations)latest revision
3 Days (Tuesday, Wednesday,Thursday)
City & Guilds 2393-10 Part P 2393-10 City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate in the Building Regulations for Electrical Installations in Dwellings (theory)
1 Day (Friday)
Note- Persons who are Electrically competent do not require the first day essential electrical theory
Once both parts of this weeks course have been completed the individual can apply to ELECSA, NAPIT, NIC (other schemes are available) to join their “Competent persons scheme” and it is being accepted on to a Part P scheme that allows individuals to test, inspect & certify new installations (Domestic single phase only)
