Engineer rewarded for success in studies
One of the glass industry’s highest accolades has been given to a Doncaster man for his all-round ability and success in his studies since he joined the Wheatley based Rockware Glass four years ago.
He is Michael Hope, an electrical engineer from Edenthorpe, who has received a Personal Achievement Award from the Glass Training Services.
Michael’s positive attitude merited his attendance at a Rockware organised Production Information course held in the USA after he had completed his modern apprenticeship programme.
This included him gaining both a BTEC and HNC certificates, with distinctions, in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Doncaster College. Michael was also last year’s Doncaster Engineering Training Association’s Apprentice of the year.
