Equal Opportunity Policy

The Directors of DETA 2000 Ltd in support of the policy for Equality and Diversity make this statement jointly.  Copies of this statement can be located in the Staff handbook, in all classrooms and on company notice-boards.

DETA is committed to the development of a positive policy to promote equality and diversity in employment and training regardless of its employees’/ learners’/learners employers’ gender, marital or parental status, social class, race, ethnic origin, religious belief, disability, sexual orientation, age or reasons contrary to the rehabilitation of offenders act.  

This principle will apply in respect of all terms and conditions of work/training including pay, hours of work, holiday entitlement, overtime and shift work, work allocation, guaranteed earnings, sick pay, pensions, recruitment, training, promotion and redundancy.

DETA through its staff, undertake to draw opportunities for training and promotion to the attention of all employees/learners/learners employers and make them aware of this policy.

The policy will be reviewed at least annually to ensure it is effective and to promote its impact.

If any employee/learner/learners employer considers that he or she suffers from unequal treatment in any area outlined above, they may have a complaint, which will be dealt with through the established grievance and disciplinary/complaints procedures.
