Abrasive Wheels Regulations
This course is designed to give learners knowledge and sufficient practice to enable the learner to safely undertake the mounting of abrasive wheels in compliance with the prescribed regulations.
Course content
- Induction
- The regulations involved in the mounting and use of abrasive wheels and explanations of the nine classes of wheels
- Safe working practices when using or changing abrasive wheels
- Grinding wheel composition, classification and coding systems
- Wheel balancing
- Practical exercises in wheel identification, changing of wheels and adjusting work rests
Duration: Half a day
Certification: In house certificate of attendance
