Congratulations to Richard Bird, Richard started on our unemployed course this summer and has landed himself a well paid job as an electrical apprentice with Paragon Foods, Richard is now working towards a NVQ 3 and Btec qualifications.

BA Components

Lawrence Hardwick was recently selected to become an Apprentice with BA Components of Sandall Stones Rd Kirk Sandall, Manufacturers of Kitchens to the likes of the large DIY companies in the UK, Lawrence is now completing an NVQ 3 in company and Further Education (Btec National) at a local college.

Wavin UK (Edlington)

Wavin Group manufacturers of plastic, clay and terracotta systems for Buildings & Installations have recently taken on two of our unemployed apprentices. Thomas Currie and Luke Evans are now enjoying employment with Wavin as Apprentice mechanical engineers working towards their NVQ 3 and Btec qualifications.

GL Filtration of Rossington nr Doncaster

Thanks again to another of Deta’s Faithful Companies, Two more of our unemployed trainees (Sam Thorpe and Lewis Armatage) have found themselves with a well paid and bright future as Mechanical Apprentices, GL Filtration have a plan to expand their workforce over the forthcoming years and realise taking on apprentices is the best way.

Pegler

Pegler Yorkshire Limited have again demonstrated their ongoing commitment to Apprenticeship training by engaging two of our mechanical apprentices Ricky Heath and Lewis Winstanley, one Electrical apprentice Gary Shaw,and one Maintenance apprentice Jonathan Killeen and they all started with Deta 2000 on our unemployed training scheme, they are now working towards their Level 3 NVQ in company and Btec National Certificate at a local college.

G L Filtration of Rossington nr Doncaster

Andrew Howe was chosen from a short list supplied by Deta, to become an Electrical maintenance engineer, working on very complex filtration systems used sometimes in the food industry, Andrew is enjoying his new found opportunity and should go on to be a very successful engineer.

Portola Packaging choose Deta trainee

Portola packaging of Doncaster have chosen a new member of their workforce, Matthew Riley is to be a mechanical apprentice maintaining the vast and elaborate machines used in producing packaging components, he has completed his first year off the job training and is now embarking on his level 3 NVQ in the workplace.

Sean lands himself a nice job with a future at Optima International

Sean O’Neal is another of our learners that has found himself a very good job with a future at Optima international in Toll bar near Bentley, Sean came to Deta on our unemployed scheme and has been snapped up by Optima who have a history of building the fibres of their company from the ground up which includes Apprentices.

Global MSI take on two new apprentices

After a successful trial period Global MSI of Carr hill Doncaster have decided to take two new apprentices in their Welding and Fabrication department, this followed a period of time here at Deta 2000 Learning the necessary skills that Global MSI required, Both the trainees Daniel Frost and Ashley Howard started on our unemployed scheme.

Simon Cook - Special Achievement Award Winner

Simon joined DETA in January 2000 as a Careership Trainee, having become dis-engaged from the education system at 14 years of age.  He completed a level 2 Foundation Engineering NVQ and then spent some time trying to find work.  He was employed by G&S Engineering in November 2001.  Read the rest of this entry »
