Polypipe shows commitment to Modern Apprenticeship

Doncaster- based company Polypipe has shown its commitment to the Modern Apprenticeship programme after taking on another four modern apprentices through the DETA 200 training company.

The firm, which manufactures plastic products for the plumbing trade, has employed around six apprentices every year over the past decade.

Polypipe Group Service manager Norman Gray said: “We have great difficulty in finding skilled people, particularly electricians and mechanics. We feel the best way for us to get the skills we need is to employ people and train them ourselves.”
